April Showers Bring May Flowers!

Owen and Mom worked in the garden a little this afternoon. Here is Owen admiring all Mom's pretty flowers that Nana and Grandpa David planted. It was so pretty outside!

Stowaway

Jacob is going to Georgia for a few days and Owen wanted to go with him. He tried to hide in dad's suitcase-sneaky little boy. Sorry, Owen, you have to keep mom company.

Racers Weekend

I went to a GNCC race this last weekend and had a blast! Here are links to some of the pictures and videos.

Silly Boy

We decided to see how Owen's pants looked on his head. It was really funny. The best part was watching him try to grab the drawstring-he got all cross-eyed. We laughed pretty hard.

Six Months Ago...

Six months ago (yesterday), Owen Thomas Hill was born and changed our lives forever! Nowadays, those sweet little feet are big and strong and love to jump! I cannot believe he's 6 months old-his first birthday will be here before I know it. He sure was sweet back then, but watching him grow and discover new things has been so fun. He makes us laugh everyday. We look forward to sharing the next six months with you!

Two Peas in a Pod

This is one of our favorite pictures of Owen's late great grand-daddy. I think Owen looks a lot like him, don't you?

Just Sitting Around...

Owen started sitting up on his own last week. He loves being able to play with his toys and see everything that is happening around him. Notice the pillow behind him, you know, just in case.

Crown Party

Saturday we also had our first Crown Party. We had burgers, brats, and a good time.

Gabriel's Birthday Party

We all had a great time and there were so many kiddos. We almost ran out of room in this post.

Luke and Family were in attendance. They couldn't stay long so I didn't get too many pics of Mr. Luke.

Jake couldn't believe how many gifts there were. Now he is really looking forward to his party.

At one point Jake had to give Owen the stay awake pep talk.
Allie had a great time as well. She loved playing with the balloons. She is so cute and polite.

Owen had a BLAST as well. He played so hard he fell asleep before the end of the party (despite Jake's efforts).

And here is the Birthday Boy himself! He liked his cake.

What a crew. You can see more pictures on Jake's page. Holly, we do have some pictures with your head in the frame. Tate's, thanks for the great time!

What a Weekend

Sorry it's been so long but it has been a crazy weekend. We have a lot of pictures to post. We will start off with the Cabot Strawberry festival next weekend. Owen is getting red-y.

So Funny #2

This video was shot at the same time as the last one. I hope blogger videos don't get blocked...

Memories

Back in the day I loved to play in laundry baskets. Is that genetic too?

Andrea was here...

Owen and his buddy David had a big play day last week and I wanted to show you the two of them in their shirts.

Wooo Pig Sooie!

Owen is ready to watch some Razorback football! Of course, he'll need a new shirt to wear. We just wanted to get a picture while this one still fits him.

That's a Knee Slapper!

Owen wasn't feeling well today. He was running a fever, but Tylenol seems to work wonders!

Make a wish and blow out the candles!

Owen sends you birthday hugs, Nana!
He is reaching for a toy in this picture...but only after he got tired of eating the sign.

Rubber Ducky, You're the One

Owen and his duck star in this short musical.

Testing in Progress

Jacob and Owen studying last night.

What smart boys!

Well, it's official: Jacob is taking his PE Exam as I create this post. As you can see, Owen helped Dad prepare for today, so I'm sure Jacob is doing just fine! We appreciate all our prayer warriors.

Have you seen my duck?

...it's the little one...it was around here somewhere...now I can't find it...

...oldie, but goodie...

This was Owen's Valentine's Day outfit sent from his great uncle Orton and great aunt Karen. I dressed him up and we had a photo shoot. We made Valentine's Day cards and sent them to people. It was a fun day, so I wanted to share. I think his hair has lightened since this picture was taken...he's growing and changing so fast.

One man's trash is another man's treasure.

Though he is surrounded by toys specifically made to entertain him, Owen is most amused by everyday objects. Most adults would see this candy wrapper as trash, but to Owen it is a shiny, noisy toy. He also enjoys playing with receipts (paper of any kind, actually), washcloths, the diaper wipe container, mom's purse, and shoes. So, grandparents, no need to buy this kid any toys...just save your trash and send it our way.

Air Time

We mentioned crawling in a previous post and just wanted to give an update on our progress. Owen isn't there yet (and has a long way to go), but is getting closer each day. We will keep you posted.

Mr. Independent

Owen would love to be able to feed himself.
We think he still has some work to do.
Leave us a comment on how you think he's doing.

Play Group

We lost power at our house, so I decided to go to play group today. What an adventure. I can see why the girls have them so often.

Gabriel had a great time roaming the house.

Owen watched all the big kids and tried to learn how to crawl.

Jake. I love Jake. This was not his best moment, but it was so funny to me.

Allie played with everyone and shared her toys very well with the boys. Poor thing, she was outnumbered 3 to 1!

Owen had a little lamb...

Owen had a little lamb...

...and he tried to bite its head off!

Sleepyheads

Jacob took this picture of us on Sunday afternoon. I had been at work from 6am-2pm and Owen had been playing with Dad and Meme all day. As you can see, we were both exhausted!
