The Heifer Project Ranch

Owen and I went to the Heifer Ranch yesterday with Kristin and Jake Steelman. We had a great time! The ranch is a learning center for Heifer International-an organization whose mission is to end world hunger and poverty while caring for the earth. We went on a tour of the ranch, saw many animals (including two huge water buffalo!), toured the global village and had a picnic lunch. The following are a few pictures of our adventure.

These pigs were too funny! They came running to the fence when we got there-they thought we had food for them. They were pretty disappointed.

Owen decided he had seen enough of the ranch that he could conduct a tour. Jake was his right-hand man in case he left out any important information.

Owen had a good time at Heifer Ranch. He wanted me to tell you that you should go see it. If you go soon, you can see all the baby animals on the ranch!
