Tough Guy

Well, a little boy in the nursery tried to take a bite out of Owen today. Owen wasn't too pleased about it (neither were his parents). The poor nursery workers were mortified and so sad. However, they handled the situation very well-I really love our church and the sweet people there.

Fortunately for us, Owen is a tough little guy. He's recovering quite nicely and doesn't seem too bothered by the HUGE bruise on his face. This is the first time Owen has ever been bitten by another child and I hope it's the last!

Gone to Grandpa's House

Owen is spending this week in Russellville and Dover while I work. It's the first week of our big Semi-Annual Sale, so I'm putting in 40 hours this week. It's good for our emergency fund, but I am missing my boy!

Owen spent Monday night and Tuesday night at his Grandpa Bruce's and Gran's house. To see what he's been up to, click here.

For Carlon*

Owen really likes Bob the Builder. Here he is singing along with the theme song. We think it's pretty cute.

*Carlon is a little boy who loves watching videos of Owen. He requested a new video, so this one is for him!

Owen's Lawn Service

Disclaimer: No engines were running during this photo shoot.

Jacob and I decided it was time for Owen to start helping out around the house. We thought mowing the lawn would be a good job for an 18-month old. The only problem we've encountered is he can't reach the run switch, so the grass isn't getting any shorter. Notice his dirty little feet. We're trying to raise a tough, Southern boy (who will be thankful he gets to wear shoes when he's actually old enough to mow the lawn).

See Owen Read

Jacob and I had nursery duty at church a few weeks ago and managed to capture this precious moment. The little boy on the left is named Nate and Owen is on the right. Nate was intently reading his book...it looks like Owen was having a little trouble figuring out which way his goes.
