Olivia is 10 Months Old!

These photos tell it all: you are SPUNKY, little Miss Olivia!

I finally took you for your 9 month well-baby check-up today (only a month late :) ) and I am happy to report you are BACK on the growth chart! WOOHOO! You weighed 15lbs 7oz and you were 27.5 inches long; that's the 5th percentile for weight and 25th percentile for height (we may have just barely made the chart, but you were on there). Actually, at birth, you were only in the 5th percentile for weight, so you are right on track! It was good news for this mama who has fretted over your petite frame for months. Dr. P was very proud of you and your (relative) chubbiness-ha!

These days you are keeping me on my toes (as if you ever weren't). You can stand by yourself, but have not taken any official steps, yet. I figure it won't be too long before we see walking.

You have been extra love-y (perhaps you were inspired by Valentine's Day) and have been giving so many sweet kisses lately. There have been a few times you have crawled over to give me BIG, slobbery kisses when I was laying on the floor. Those make me laugh a lot because most of the time I don't see you coming-it's kind of a sneak attack! Also, you started blowing kisses which is so fun to watch!

You and your brother are still best buddies. You and he actually "talk" to each other quite a bit. It's funny because since you aren't able to speak Owen's language, he will resort to talking like you so all I hear is your gibberish exchange and giggling! We tell him that his job as your big brother is to protect you, so anytime he's playing too rough we ask him what his job is and he says, "To keep O-liv safe." He's pretty crazy about you and is generally so good with you, but he can't wait until you are big enough to really play.

You do not like getting your diaper changed at all. You cry, roll over and act pretty dramatic most of the time. That's usually the only time you get really mad, but occasionally something upsets you and you turn into a "wet noodle" or melt to the floor crying. Right now it is funny because these little "tantrums" are tiny and short, but we're already gearing up for the real thing. I can see we may have our work cut out for us...

You are a silly little girl and we are truly loving this stage! You certainly aren't easy (neither is your brother currently), but you (and he) are always making us laugh which make the tough moments more manageable. We love you and are so blessed to call you ours!
